BioShock: The Collection Is on Two Discs, Trailer Shows the Remastered BioShock Opening

In a new preview from Sony’s Sid Shuman, it was revealed that BioShock: The Collection for PlayStation 4 will come on two discs – one for BioShock and BioShock 2, the other for BioShock Infinite. Given the fact that the entire collection could be a 70GB download, this shouldn’t be too surprising.

As 2K has said, The Collection takes the three BioShock games and updates them with 1080p graphics and “up to” 60 frames-per-second. In the new comparison trailer today for the opening of BioShock, you’ll see the changes developer Blind Squirrel has made, which include new and improved textures and art assets.

In addition to the improved graphics, each BioShock game in The Collection includes all of its single-player add-ons. BioShock 2’s multiplayer, however, isn’t included. Also, by collecting golden reels in the first BioShock, you’ll unlock various episodes of Imagining BioShock, a nearly two-hour video series featuring Creative Director Ken Levine that looks at the creation of Rapture.

BioShock: The Collection releases on September 13 in North America and September 16 in Europe for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
