Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night to Be Published by 505 Games

Just last month, Castlevania fans were hit with the sad news that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has been pushed back from its original 2017 release window. While the action game isn’t getting a bump in in terms of release — at least not yet, it did manage to snag a publisher.

Over on its Kickstarter page, Koji Igarash has announced the partnership with 505 Games (Payday 2, Assetto Corsa) to be Bloodstained’s publisher with a brand new video.

A publisher has signed onto the Bloodstained project: We’ll be working with 505 Games. They put together a video with IGA to make the announcement (and also show off some new footage of the game). Take a look:

As you can see, one of the first things a publisher can help out with is action-packed video production.

Like IGA said from the beginning, none of this would be possible without the campaign all of you helped to build. We’re excited to bring it to a wider audience, too, but everybody on the team is here to help IGA build the game you (and he) wanted from the start.

You can check out more Bloodstained gameplay right here. Given how 505 Games has churned out quality games so far, this is certainly a step in the right direction for Bloodstained. Let’s hope that securing a publisher helps in ramping the development of the game.
