GameStop Receives More PlayStation VR Stock, Says Demand “Remains High”

After seeing tremendous demand at launch that exceeded their early expectations, GameStop said they received more PlayStation VR stock today, as demand for the headset “remains high.”

Bob Puzon, GameStop’s Senior VP of Merchandising, said, “PSVR is off to a great start at GameStop, having already exceeded our early expectations. Due to the popularity of the system with our customers, we have received additional units for holiday.”

If you’re looking for a PSVR headset, GameStop is offering two exclusive bundles for $499.99, each of which save you more than $20 over buying everything separately and include pre-owned items. Here’s what to expect:

PSVR Batman Value Bundle

  • PlayStation VR Core
  • Pre-Owned PS4 Camera
  • Two Pre-Owned Move Controllers
  • Either a digital or physical copy of Batman: Arkham VR

PSVR Until Dawn Value Bundle

  • PlayStation VR Core
  • Pre-Owned PS4 Camera
  • Two Pre-Owned Move Controllers
  • Either a digital copy or physical copy of Until Dawn: Rush of Blood VR

As GameStop’s PlayStation VR page shows, there’s also a PlayStation VR Complete Starter Bundle for $493 that includes everything above except for a game. If you just want the $399.99 PSVR headset, that’s also available right now through GameStop. In-store, you’ll receive 20% extra credit when trading towards PSVR.

GameStop also announced that every single store is now accepting retro trade-ins, following a pilot program last year.
