2016 PlayStation Store Charts: Rocket League #1 on PS4, Digimon #1 on PS Vita

2016 was a big year for the digital version Rocket League. Not only was it the most downloaded game through the PlayStation Store in North America, but it was also the biggest selling game through the PlayStation Store in Europe, Sony has revealed. Rocket League first launched in July 2015 as a PlayStation Plus title.

In North America, the top PlayStation 3 games of 2016 were Minecraft, The Last of Us, and Grand Theft Auto V; the PlayStation Vita’s biggest games were Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth, Minecraft, and God Eater: Resurrection; and PlayStation VR’s most downloaded titles were Job Simulator, Batman: Arkham VR, and Until Dawn: Rush of Blood.

In Europe, the top 20 best-selling PlayStation games of 2016 were all on PS4, so it remains to be seen how well games on PS3, PS Vita, and PSVR did.
