Ghostbusters is Hiring: Firehouse Released for PSVR, Is 10 Minutes Long

Priced at $6.99 USD, and requiring two PlayStation Move controllers, Ghostbusters is Hiring: Firehouse from Sony Pictures Virtual Reality is now available for PlayStation VR in North America. It isn’t available on the European PlayStation Store yet, and PlayStation Europe didn’t mention it in their upcoming releases for this week.

Labelled as an app instead of a game, Ghostbusters is Hiring: Firehouse lasts for about 10 minutes and is the first chapter of Ghostbusters VR: Now Hiring. Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Jake Zim told io9, “Where we put out chapter one, if people like it and see what they want, then we can add chapter two and keep going. Ghostbusters is so big you can kind of go all over the place.”

Zim added that several more chapters are in the works.

Here’s the description for Ghostbusters is Hiring: Firehouse:

The Ghostbusters need your help. Step into and explore the iconic Ghostbusters firehouse, where you’ll meet Mooglie for the first time. Plus, get up close and personal with everyone’s favorite troublemaker, Slimer!

Your adventure begins outside the firehouse in the streets of New York where Mooglie volunteers to be your guide. As you enter the firehouse, you’ll have the chance to explore Ecto-1, assemble and fire a proton pack, check out the basement where the Ghost Containment Unit lies, play with Slimer and much more! Don’t leave any stone unturned as ghostly surprises await your discovery.

Ghosbusters co-creator Ivan Reitman is heavily involved in the development of Now Hiring, which is also available on mobile devices, and he even suggested that Mooglie (voiced by Patton Oswalt) be the guide.
