Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice Goes Gold, Drops New Video

Developer Ninja Theory, whose previous works have included Heavenly Sword and Devil May Cry, has announced today that Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, their latest project set to release on August 8th, has gone gold. The game will be releasing for both the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows and features a mix of Celtic and Norse mythology. Players will control the role of Senua on her journey to the underworld.

To celebrate this fact, 10 minutes of new gameplay has been released, courtesy of IGN. Check it out below:

Ninja Theory has also recently announced an in-depth photo mode will be available at launch. It’ll allow players to take incredible screenshots. They also revealed that Hellblade would span about 6-8 hours to complete and will support up to 20 languages.

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is available for pre-order now. Those pre-ordering on PlayStation 4 will receive an exclusive Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice Dynamic Theme that depicts the iconic burning tree scene from the game. Those pre-ordering on PC will receive an exclusive digital comic short, Hellblade: Senua’s Song.
