Take a Look at These Call of Duty: World War II Special Editions

Collector’s editions are always something to look forward to when the release of a new game comes around. Sure, some of the special versions of games are a bit disappointing, but it is always interesting to see what a publisher thinks gamers will be willing to pay for, and how much. Two new extra-expensive collector’s editions of the upcoming Call of Duty: WWII have been spotted. Let’s see what your hard-earned money could potentially get you.

First up, Call of Duty: Boots On the Ground Edition. This package, priced at an MSRP of $149.99, comes with a copy of Call of Duty: WWII, the digital download for the game’s season pass, a lenticular poster (one where the image changes depending upon the angle at which you view it) by Trends International, and a Call of Duty-branded backpack. It features a magnetic closure snaps, shoulder sling strap for transformation into messenger bag, and removable patches.

A second offering was spotted, but is now unavailable on Best Buy’s website. It contains all the aforementioned items, along with a “Deployment Kit” by PrimaGames. The kit priced on its own would be around $120, so a bit of money could be saved buying this as opposed to buying the Boots on the Ground edition and the Deployment Kit separately. It adds a collection of WWII-themed items: a flashlight, metal canteen and pouch, dog tag, collector’s edition game guide (presumably by PrimaGames), hardcover journal, 11″ x 17″ Call of Duty-themed poster, a propaganda 8″ x 10″ print, and finally a visual encyclopedia which features a timeline of actual events which transpired in the real-life war. The MSRP for the Deployment Kit edition? $249.99.

Do either of these collectors editions of Call of Duty: WWII entice you to open up your wallets? Or are you content with just getting the game itself, and perhaps the season pass? Let us know in the comments below.
