July ended up being a really busy month for games, but August is going to be an even busier period for gamers. It’s packed full of exciting game releases from start to finish, and it looks like gamers are in for even more fun this summer. Agents of Mayhem has to be my most anticipated release of the month, by a LONG SHOT. Anything from the team that brought us the insanity that is Saints Row franchise, immediately gets all of my attention! -

So many great games next month but it's Everybody's Golf for me! -

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy looks like it's doing some pretty special things with the series, and I'm eager to see the culmination of these efforts. The darker tone, the kick-ass female leads, the cunning villain. Everything speaks to an Uncharted game that is no longer held back by the conventions of what we'd expect an Uncharted game to be, yet will still be everything we expect an Uncharted game to be, and that flash point has me quite excited.Runners up include Agents of Mayhem, which is essentially a deeper take on Saints Row with tactical strategy, and Obduction, the spiritual successor to Myst, finally bringing Rand Miller's work back to consoles and putting his puzzling world in VR. -

It's gotta be Uncharted: The Lost Legacy! I just wanna kick some arse as Chloe, really. Everything else is a bonus!

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and Uncharted for me! I'm a big fan of Ninja Theory and from everything they've showed it looks as though they've really poured their heart and soul into something that could well be the beginning of a franchise. -

Sonic Mania! I've enjoyed the game every time I got my hands on it, and have been playing Sonic Generations in preparation. Yakuza Kiwami, Madden NFL 18, Everybody's Golf, and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy all have my attention as well, but none have me as excited for the upcoming dose of Blast Processing™ on my PS4!

August is a crazy busy month, but I'm most excited about getting to play some more Yakuza. I loved every second I spent in Yakuza 0 (okay, besides the 20 minutes I spent dying on the secret boss fight), and that's a lot of seconds considering I did all of the substories and unlocked the two secret fighting stances! I'm hoping that Yakuza Kiwami won't eat up 100 hours of my time like the last one did, but I can't say I'd be all that sad if it did.

I have my eye on Hellblade, Agents of Mayhem, Uncharted, and Yakuza Kiwami. But if I had to pick one, I think it'd be a tie between Hellblade and Yakuza Kiwami. The former has intrigued me since the day it was unveiled whereas the latter climbed up my list of anticipated games after I fell in love with Yakuza 0.
