BioShock 10th Anniversary

$200 BioShock 10th Anniversary Collector’s Edition Announced for PS4 & Xbox One

To celebrate 10 years of BioShock, 2K has released a special thank you video for fans, which looks back at the entire franchise and has a message for players.

“10 Years ago, it started with a plane crash in the North Atlantic Ocean. A lighthouse. A man. A city under the sea,” 2K says. “From the stories you’ve shared to the fan art you’ve created to the insanely creative, intricate and detailed cosplay projects you concocted – your passion humbles us even now. To the whole BioShock community, thank you.”

If you want more than a video, 2K also announced a BioShock 10th Anniversary Collector’s Edition, which is available to pre-order exclusively through GameStop and the 2K Store in the United States for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Priced at $199.99 and releasing on November 14, it includes a copy of BioShock: The Collection, as well as an 11.9-inch high statue, modeled after the original game’s iconic box art, featuring a motorized drill and light-up components as well as Big Daddy and Little Sister audio clips from the game.

Other 10th anniversary announcements include a fan party at PAX West on September 2 that’s open to the public, and a sale on BioShock: The Collection at several retailers.

It remains to be seen if there will be a new BioShock game in the future, but the next fiscal year (beginning April 1, 2018) will see a “highly anticipated new title from one of 2K’s biggest franchises,” which is likely either BioShock or Borderlands.
