ACM-VirtualOn - Mikoto & Raiden

HBV-502-H8/VSL Raiden “Judge Igniters”, piloted by Misaka Mikoto

Its shoulder unit, the Steiv 800Z, is equipped with high-output lasers among others. Raiden is chosen for Mikoto because she has good compatibility with this Virtualoid, which has weapons like lasers and thunder balls.

Battles in A Certain Magical Virtual-On will take place in Virtual-On game tournaments taking place in various stages specifically made for battling. One of the stages has been confirmed to use the rooftop of a building in the academy town.

And while in past Virtual-On games Virtualoids used to only have up to three weapons, in this game they will be able to have a fourth weapon, which is based on the ability of the A Certain Magical Index character piloting them, by loading the ability when the V-Converter at the Virtualoid’s back starts its drive sequence. For example, if Temjin is piloted by Kamijo Touma, it will load his Imagine Breaker ability and generate a fourth weapon based on that.

A Certain Magical Virtual-On is a versus battle action game that will be released for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in 2018 in Japan. A playable demo of the game will be also available at Tokyo Game Show 2017.
