While showcasing support for their virtual reality headset, the Sony TGS conference showed details about PlayStation VR expanding into additional music and video content. Specifically mentioned were VR Music Festival, VR Digital Theater, and News VR.
VR Music Festival allows players to experience their favorite music from Japan Studio games in environments from the game and concert halls, along with sitting beside the characters from the games. It is coming Sept. 20th for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
It is unclear if these applications will see wider release or if they are limited to support in Japan for the time being, but we’ll provide updates as we hear them from Tokyo Game Show.
