Today marks the fourth anniversary of Outbreak Day, the infection in The Last of Us video game series hit critical mass. For four years, Naughty Dog has been celebrating with various The Last of Us-themed goodies, and that continues this year with a new theme, poster, and more sales all week.
Much like last year, the big item on sale is a poster by artist Kevin Tong, and much like last year, Naughty Dog will partner with the popular poster/vinyl/collectible site Mondo. According to the company, the poster will be a timed-edition release, and will be on sale at 10:00am PT today until Friday, September 29 at 10:00am PT. This should be music to fans ears, as there is no threat of the poster selling out thanks to the high demand of Mondo products.
Alongside the poster, the company is also launching a new The Last of Us Part II PS4 system theme based on the trailer revealed at last year’s PlayStation Experience. “Set within the overgrown neighborhood street and firefly graffiti stop sign from the introduction sequence, this new dynamic theme features ambient audio from the trailer, unique key tones, and animated effects.”
Also for sale at the PlayStation Gear Store starting today at 9am PST will be a brand new The Last of Us Part II t-shirt. There will also be a wide-range of discounts available on select The Last of Us items, so make sure to check back on the store frequently throughout the week.
