Yakuza Kiwami 2 sales

Japanese Sales Chart: Yakuza Kiwami 2 Debuts on Top

The pocket monsters were finally dethroned. Yakuza Kiwami 2 managed to top the Japanese sales chart in its first week by selling over 130,000 units. Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon still managed to sell another 100,000 additional units, so it’s not like it was a total flop this week.

In hardware sales, the Nintendo Switch once again managed to top the charts by an incredible margin. It outsold the second best selling console (the PlayStation 4) by over 100,000 units.

As far as new PS4 releases go, Earth Defense Force 5 managed to grab the second spot with over 111,000 units sold. Kamen Rider: Climax Fighters also came in at the seventh spot, and the complete editions of Nioh and Horizon Zero Dawn came in at 18 and 20, respectively.
