blackout beta extended

Treyarch Extends and Enlarges COD Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta

If you’ve been enjoying the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout beta test and have been dreading its end, we have some good news for you. Treyarch isn’t letting this one go away quietly, opting to send the beta off into the sunset in glorious fashion with guns blazing. The beta has been extended until later this afternoon and its player count has been increased once again.

You can keep on trucking in the Blackout beta until 12 pm PT/3 pm ET on September 17, 2018. That’s about another hour and a half, so get in there and enjoy some more battle royale violence while you still can!

With this extension, Treyarch is also putting a little extra strain on the servers. (Because why not?) While the Blackout beta launched at 80 players and was later upped to 88 players, the fans of both Call of Duty and the battle royale genre had been hoping the developer would have the guts to boost it up to the magic number of 100. Well that’s happening now, and it’s up to you folks on the ground to see how well that does or doesn’t work.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is set to release on October 12, 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
