gold dualshock 4

You Can Buy a $14,000 Dualshock 4, if You’re Into That Kind of Thing

Everyone loves custom controllers, right? While the DualShock 4 already comes in a variety of colors, some people may want something a little more exclusive. Well, the folks at Brikk have you covered. You can get your hands on a DualShock 4 controller covered in gold, with some gold-encased buttons to sweeten the deal. If that all sounds expensive, it is, and you can spend upwards of $14,000 on these unique controllers.

Here is the description, per the Brikk website:

The Lux DualShock 4 is a handcrafted premium version of the Sony DualShock 4 controller for the PlayStation 4. Coated in 24K Yellow Gold and safeguarded by a triple layer of DLC protective clear veneer, it is exquisitely practical, designed for the gamer with impeccable taste.

The Lux Dualshock 4 comes in two versions and can be customized. The classic version only encases the PlayStation button in gold (18K gold, to be exact). The Deluxe, on the other hand, gives all of the face buttons the golden treatment. For an extra touch of sophistication, the buttons are bedazzled with diamonds.

If you want your Lux DualShock 4 to stand out even more, you can customize the appearance of it. The controller can be plated in Platinum, Rose Gold, Black Rhodium, or Rainbow Titanium. The buttons, on the other hand, can be studded with more than diamonds. You have the options of using gems like rubies, sapphires, and emeralds. You also have the option of customizing more technical features, like the vibration and analog stick heights, which are somewhat practical.

The classic will cost you close to $8,500, which isn’t terrible, especially compared to the Deluxe. That will set you back almost $14,000. If you can’t afford that, there’s always the standard Gold DualShock 4, which isn’t quite as shiny. And Sony has a variety of color options for you to indulge in for a much lower price.
