Evil Dead DLC

Evil Dead: The Game Will Get Post Launch Content Over Multiple Seasons

Boss Team Games seems to be planning several seasons of post-launch DLC for Evil Dead: The Game. Players have been able to pre-order the game from today ready for its release on PS5 and PS4 on May 13. Amongst the content included with two versions of the game is a Season Pass. As the pass is named Season Pass 1, this implies the developer is planning to support their game for quite some time yet.

What DLC is included in Season Pass 1?

Season Pass 1 will include four DLC packs at a discounted rate than if a player was to buy them separately. No details on the DLC have been provided so far, although publisher Saber Interactive’s CCO Tim Willits told PlayStation Blog they have prepared the large overworld map for future content.

The Season Pass is included in the Deluxe Edition of the game that can be pre-ordered from the PlayStation Store alongside the standard edition. Those looking for some extras with their game can pre-order the Collector’s Edition from Boss Team Games’ website. The Collector’s Edition includes the game, Season Pass 1, and the following content:

  • EXCLUSIVE Evil Dead Steel Case
  • EXCLUSIVE Evil Dead: The Game Soundtrack on Colored Vinyl
  • EXCLUSIVE T-Shirt (Choice of Size)
  • EXCLUSIVE Art Card Set
  • The Art of Evil Dead Deluxe Hardcover Book
  • EXCLUSIVE Savini Variant In-Game Ash Skin
  • Collectible Outer Box

The Collector’s Edition is limited to just 5,000 copies but was still available for pre-order at the time of writing. Unfortunately the Ultimate Collector’s Edition, which also included a full-size replica Evil Dead II Book of the Dead Necronomicon Prop, has sold out. Those who pre-order any version of the game will get the Ash Williams Gallant Knight and S-Mart Employee in-game outfits.

In other news, Take-Two Interactive has promised they have sequels to many beloved franchises in development at the moment. Elsewhere, system software betas begin for PS5 and PS4 tomorrow with features like voice commands and open parties being trialed.
