Known Dealabs PS Plus leaker billbil-kun has revealed that Ghost Recon Wildlands is the next game from Ubisoft’s catalog set to join the revamped service. The game will become part of PS Plus Extra August 2022 lineup. Ghost Recon Wildlands was recently announced for Xbox Game Pass as well.
Interestingly, billbil-kun revealed this tidbit a couple of days ago but it wasn’t until the weekend that Reddit users picked up on it. We’re still not sure how they’re always accurate when it comes to PS Plus leaks but given their flawless record, we’re pretty sure Ghost Recon Wildlands is a lock.
PS Plus Extra August 2022 additions are expected to be announced this week
Given Sony’s pattern, we expect PS Plus Extra August 2022 new additions to be formally revealed by Wednesday, August 10th. Ghost Recon Wildlands might not be the only Ubisoft game coming this month as the publisher still has about 20 more of its promised 50+ games yet to land on PS Plus. As usual, we’ll update our readers when we have more information. In the meantime, make sure to check our updated lists of PS Plus Extra and Premium games available right now.
Opinion: Ghost Recon Wildlands was the last good Ghost Recon game
Zarmena writes… I’m happy to see that PS Plus users are getting Ghost Recon Wildlands as opposed to Ghost Recon Breakpoint, the latter of which is easily one of the worst Ubisoft games I’ve ever played. From excruciatingly boring world design and poor dialogue to uninspired gameplay mechanics and world design – the game suffered from a series of bad decisions. With Ghost Recon Frontline cancelled, it’s unclear what the series’ future holds. But for now, fans can enjoy one of the best Ghost Recon games as part of their PS Plus Extra subscription.
In other news, Evo 2022 brought teasers for Tekken 8 and a new Fatal Fury game, and Naughty Dog has blamed “external partners” for the studio’s history of leaks.
