Neoludic Games, Skystone Games, and Silver Lining Interactive announced its acclaimed narrative-management game, Tiny Bookshop, will finally release for PS5. They also announced that its release on the Sony console will usher in its physical release.
When is the Tiny Bookshop PS5 release date?
Tiny Bookshop will finally arrive for PS5 on April 10, 2025. This is roughly a year after its release on Nintendo Switch and PC. The physical edition will include a Digital Soundtrack download code, a Digital Artbook download code, and an exclusive bookmark.
For those unfamiliar with Tiny Bookshop, here is a description of the game:
“Leave everything behind and open a tiny bookshop by the sea in this cozy narrative management game. Stock your Tiny Bookshop with different books and items, set up shop in scenic locations, and run your cozy second-hand bookshop while getting to know the locals.”
Neoludic Games Game Designer David Zapfe-Wildemann expressed his joy over Tiny Bookshop’s success.
“Seeing Tiny Bookshop grow from a passion project into a game enjoyed by over half a million players has been incredible,” said Zapfe-Wildemann. “Bringing a physical edition to fans lets them keep a piece of Bookstonbury-by-the-Sea on their shelf.”
Sales & Bizdev Coordinator at Silver Lining Interactive, Eben Cunningham, expressed their excitement for the physical edition.
“Physical games are special to cozy collectors, and Tiny Bookshop truly belongs on a bookshelf,” said Cunningham. “We’re thrilled to package the game with a soundtrack, digital artbook, and bookmark to celebrate this community favorite.”
When Tiny Bookshop was released earlier this year, it was met with mostly favorable reception. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, it received an average score of 81 from 17 critic reviews. Players seem to share that same sentiment, as player-submitted reviews on Steam are “overwhelmingly positive.”
A price for the PS5 release of Tiny Bookshop was not listed. The digital versions for PC and Nintendo Switch are $19.99, so it seems reasonable that the price would be within that range.
