An interesting Game Pass launch title that’s out today already has a PS5 release date, and it’s out relatively soon. Published by 11 bit Studios, Death Howl tells an emotional story with a unique gameplay twist: it’s a Soulslike deckbuilder.
Day 1 Game Pass title Death Howl headed to PS5 in February 2026
Developed by The Outer Zone, Death Howl combines Soulslike, turn-based strategy, and deckbuilding. Early reviews suggest that it excels in doing so.
As for its plot, Death Howl tells the story of a Shamanic woman named Ro, who has lost her child. Unable to accept the loss and desperate to reverse it, she enters the world of spirits to fight for a second chance.
“Minimalist in presentation but unafraid of raw, harrowing themes, Death Howl unfolds as a metaphorical journey through sorrow, survival, and acceptance,” reads an official overview. “It’s a hunt where every step forward carries a cost — and every enemy demands a study worthy of a huntress.”

Death Howl is currently only available on Steam / PC Game Pass. It’ll be available on all other platforms, including PS5, on February 19, 2026. Its console Game Pass launch is already confirmed, but there’s no word on a PS Plus day-one launch yet.
