The beloved PS5 multiplayer game, Dead by Daylight, will be delisting one of its fan-favorite DLC packs. Specifically, its Halloween content will no longer be available to purchase after January 19, 2026, at 11 am ET.
Why is the Halloween Dead by Daylight content being delisted?
The reason developer Behaviour Interactive is delisting the Dead by Daylight Halloween DLC isn’t quite explained in its post regarding the matter. It simply says, “as with all live service games, frequent updates and additions are to be expected.” It is possibly due to them losing the license, which means they will have to delist the product from digital storefronts.
Luckily for previous owners of the DLC, they will be able to play as The Shape and Laurie Strode after it is delisted. The perks will still be unlockable with the original names and text if players already unlocked the characters before they are delisted. Players who have not unlocked the characters will see the perks in the General perk pool and can be unlocked immediately. The one true loss will be the Haddonfield map, which will no longer be part of the map rotation after the delisting date.
It should also be noted that achievements that are specific to the Halloween characters will now be made into generic achievements. Current progress on these achievements will also remain.
Behaviour Interactive also confirmed that players will not be able to receive a refund for the DLC. This is because the content will still be playable after it is delisted on January 19, 2026.
As fans have a limited time to grab the fan-favorite DLC, Behaviour Interactive is running a “Last Chance Sale” for the Dead by Daylight Halloween DLC for PlayStation platforms beginning on December 22. It will be discounted by 50%, which will bring its price down to around $4, as it currently costs $7.99.
