Earlier this year, developer Square Glade Games and publisher Crytivo released the Wild West-inspired adventure RPG Above Snakes for the PS5 and PS4. However, the game has mysteriously been delisted from the PlayStation Store.
PS5, PS4 RPG Above Snakes only delisted from PS Store thus far
As pointed out by Reddit user BlindOceleot on the PS5 subreddit, both PS4 and PS5 versions of Above Snakes have been delisted from the PS Store. Both Square Glade Games and Crytivo have not given a reason why the game has been delisted from PlayStation’s storefront. It is still available on other platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
What makes this a bit more problematic is that the game reportedly just doesn’t work anymore. According to the previously mentioned Reddit post, the user can still uninstall and download the game, but the game crashes every time they attempt to play it.
Above Snakes was originally released for PC back in 2023. It was then brought to consoles earlier this year. While reviews from critics are essentially nonexistent, players do seem to be pretty positive on the RPG. According to the Steam player reviews, players are “mostly positive” about the RPG. For any PC players who may be curious, the Above Snakes: Prologue, which gives players a taste of its gameplay, is free.
Here is a brief description of the game:
“Craft your world. Survive the Wilds. Discover the secrets of the land. Step into a handcrafted Wild West-inspired world in this relaxing isometric adventure RPG with light survival elements. Build, explore, farm, and fight as you piece together your own unique journey across shifting biomes and mysterious threats.”
This isn’t the only PS Store delisting story occurring this week. Developer Behaviour Interactive announced its Halloween DLC for Dead by Daylight will be delisted next month.
