When available, the best way to check out an upcoming game is with a demo on the PS Store. Although January isn’t the hottest month for game releases, one of the bigger games to release this month, Code Vein 2, is getting a PS5 demo just before its release.
When does the Code Vein 2 PS5 demo release?
In a recent PlayStation Blog post, it was announced that the Code Vein 2 PS5 demo will release on January 23 on the PS Store, just days before its full release. However, the details given suggest players won’t be beginning their journey in the RPG sequel. Instead, similar to the Dragon Age: The Veilguard demo, players will be able to create their characters, which can be transferred to the full game.
“A Code Vein 2 Character Creator Demo will be available January 23 on PlayStation Store, letting you explore the game’s central hub, MagMell Institute, experiment with Photo Mode and try the game’s character customization options,” reads the post. “Your custom character can be transferred to the full game.”
For those unfamiliar with Code Vein 2, here is a trailer and description of the upcoming game:
“Due to the sudden appearance of the Luna Rapacis, Revenants have transformed into mindless monsters called Horrors. As a Revenant hunter, the player shall halt the world’s inevitable collapse by traveling to the past with a girl called Lou who possesses the power to manipulate time.
“An epic adventure awaits, where you and your chosen partners explore a post-apocalyptic world, face fierce battles against powerful enemies, and uncover an epic story that transcends time.”
Code Vein 2 will release for PS5 on January 29. Players can preorder the Standard Edition for $69.99. There is also a Deluxe Edition and Ultimate Edition available to preorder for $89.99 and $99.99 respectively.
