In an announcement we didn’t see coming, an acclaimed 2018 RPG has been confirmed for the PS5 and PS4, and it’s out soon. Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass is “made by a guy from Texas,” and is influenced by popular Japanese games like Final Fantasy. The game originally released on PC.

Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass will release on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on February 5, 2026. It’s officially described as a “Japanese-style” turn-based RPG influenced by SNES-era games.

The console versions will feature enhanced visuals, new levels, new enemies, new difficulty mode, and much more.
Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass is set inside the dream of an eight-year-old boy. “When an alien entity appears and threatens his family and the stability of the dream world itself, Jimmy sets out on an adventure to save his family and eradicate the threat of the Pulsating Mass,” reads an official overview. “Along the way, Jimmy will have to work with his family, confront his own shortcomings, and brave the creeping nightmares of his subconscious.”
The game is not currently available to wishlist on the PS Store, and a price has not been announced.
