Promising PS5 Action RPG Releases Next Week With Console Exclusive Features

During last month’s The Game Awards, it was announced that Arknights: Endfield would be releasing next week for PS5. A new update regarding the Hypergryph developed action RPG reveals that it will have a few exclusive features for the Sony video game console.

When is the Arknights: Endfield PS5 release date?

As revealed in a trailer shown during The Game Awards 2025, Arknights: Endfield launches for PS5 on January 22. Although the free-to-play game does require an internet connection to play, it does not require Sony’s online gaming service, PlayStation Plus. Anyone interested can pick up a preorder bundle on the PS Store now for $9.99, which includes five Basic HH Permits, 50,000 T-Creds, 10 Intermediate Combat Records, 10 Arms Inspectors, and 10 Fortifying Infusions.

The PS5 exclusive features for Arknights: Endfield aren’t too flashy, but they do make it stand out compared to other platforms. Namely, the game fully supports the DualSense wireless controller, which includes haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, the built-in speaker, and light bar effects. It will also feature 3D audio support.

Arknights: Endfield is an action RPG spinoff of Hypergryph’s 2019 tower defense game Arknights. Although the “core” of the game is its “highly stategic” action combat, there is also a portion of the game where players will build a base that creates several types of resources, like equipment and medical supplies. It is essentially a factory sim on top of an action RPG.

“In Endfield, you take on the role of the Endministrator, tasked with leading Operators to protect, expand, and redefine the boundary of civilization,” says Light Zhong, Co-Founder and Director at Hypergraph. “Exploration and development go hand in hand here. As Oripathy engines roar to life across the wasteland, automated production lines and industrial facilities rise alongside your growing foothold on the planet.”
