The PS Store has dropped several new free PS5 AAA games that are worth checking out, and there’s more to follow. There’s something for everyone here — from action to role-playing, fighting, and even sports.
PS5 players can download three new AAA games for free via the PS Store right now
Available now are fantastic action RPG Arknights: Endfield, League of Legends-inspired fighting game 2XKO, and Sega Football Club Champions — a new game in the long-running SakaTsuku series.
The games don’t require a PS Plus subscription to play, but you will need to fork out money for add-ons.
Out of the three games, only Arknights: Endfields is PS5 Pro enhanced. As far as streaming is concerned, PS Plus Premium users can cloud stream Sega Football Club Champions.
Players are reminded that another promising free game is on the way. Announced during The Game Awards 2025, Highguard is a multiplayer first-person shooter that’s scheduled for release on January 26.
There was some speculation that Highguard was delayed because developer Wildlight Entertainment went radio silent after The Game Awards. However, earlier today, a trophy list for the game appeared online, indicating that Highguard is on track for release.
That said, Highguard currently isn’t listed on the PS Store, so we’re awaiting an official announcement of its launch.
