Konami is bringing back seven classic games in one big collection in a surprise release coming to PlayStation 5.
What classic games are included in a new drop?
First revealed during Nintendo’s Direct showcase, Konami announced that they would be releasing the Super Bomberman Collection. Better yet, the game’s digital editions are out today on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
The digital version of the game is available now on the PlayStation Store for $19.99. Physical versions will be able to pre-order soon, with Konami’s site currently listing the option as greyed out as of now. They will release on August 25, 2026.
The collection includes all five titles from the Super Bomberman series that was released from 1993-1997, including titles that were originally only released in Japan. The collection also includes the original Bomberman released in 1985, as well as Bomberman II, which was released in 1991.
As per usual with collections like this, the game’s included in the Super Bomberman Collection includes many quality of life changes, like saving any time, rewind functions, and more. The collection also allows players to check out the game’s iconic music tracks in their own area, a gallery mode featuring over 200 unique character illustrations, and a Boss Rush mode that lets players go up against boss battles from the games.
