The PS Store has dropped another pair of free demos for new PS5 games, and you don’t need PS Plus to play them. Players can try Idea Factory’s upcoming Western release of action RPG Ariana and the Elder Codex, and adventure game Under the Island (demo also available on PS4).

Ariana and the Elder Codex first launched in Japan in August 2025. It’ll release in the West on March 24.
Players step into the shoes of a librarian named Ariana, whose “mission is to repair the Seven Hero Codices, which have been altered.” “Due to the terrible damages, magic has vanished from the world,” the plot reads.
The demo lets players try the beginning of Ariana and the Elder Codex.
Under the Island is a new 2D action adventure game by Top Hat Studios. Inspired by 90s classics, the game has us playing as Nia, a newcomer on Seashell Island — a place full of mysteries.
“Join forces with local girl Avocado to investigate an ominous fate – the island’s destined to sink beneath the ocean,” an overview reads. “Explore colorful regions, battle strange creatures, and uncover the ancient mysteries that could threaten your new home.”
PS Plus Premium users can cloud stream both demos.
