A fan-favorite PS5 shooter is getting a major free expansion this month, adding in a ton of new content.
What PS5 favorite is getting an expansion?
Nightdive Studios announced a brand new expansion to Blood: Refreshed Supply, the remaster of the 1997 cult classic shooter. The new expansion, titled Death Wish, features four new episodes that all include new content exclusive to Blood: Refreshed Supply, and also acts as a sequel to the game’s events.
The expansion will release later this month as a free update to those who own the game. Blood: Refreshed Supply is available now for $29.99 on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

“Death Wish — with four episodes, totaling 48 levels — begins years in the future after the events of Cryptic Passage, Post Mortem, and Marrow, where the specter of Tchernobog still looms after his defeat, having regained strength as protagonist Caleb fought other battles. When his growing power can no longer be veiled, Tchernobog’s forces face off against his foe as the moment of the Dreaming God’s ascension draws near,” reads the new expansion’s description.
The final episode of the expansion, according to Nightdive Studios, is entirely all new, and all maps are co-op compatible. More features from the upcoming expansion inlclude:
- The legendary blood-soaked shooter comes to consoles for the very first time, rebuilt from the original source code with remastered cutscenes and bug fixes!
- Up to 4K 120FPS visuals on PlayStation 4|5 and Xbox One and Series X|S
- Fully customizable keyboard and controller gamepad support
- Extended modding support, including support for existing mods, as well as expanded options for improved enemy behavior, weather effects, and other enhancements
- Local split-screen and cross-platform online multiplayer support for up to eight players — co-op, PvP “Bloodbath”, and classic 4v4 team-based “Capture The Flag” modes
- CD and MIDI music support
- Includes existing add-ons Plasma Pak and Cryptic Passage
- New Vault with dozens of playable cut-content levels, concept art, behind-the-scenes photos, and unused sprites.
- New mission scenarios, Marrow and Death Wish, pump new blood into… Blood! Both scenarios are available now.
