The first quarter of 2026 has been surprisingly busy. There have been several solid PS5 games released at the beginning of the year to keep players occupied until the next big release. That includes MLB The Show 26, the latest PlayStation first-party game, which is available on the PlayStation Store today.
What is MLB The Show 26?
MLB The Show 26 is the latest entry in the beloved Major League Baseball video game franchise. For this year’s version, the New York Yankees’ Aaron Judge graces the cover once again, as he is the “inspiration” for the latest entry. Specifically, developer San Diego Studio said this year is all about “pursuing your passion, honing your skills and making everyone remember your name.”

There are two different versions of MLB The Show 26 available to purchase on the PS Store. The Standard Edition costs $69.99 and includes the base game and 5 The Show packs.
