A popular PS5 game that just landed on PS Plus Extra is making one of its DLC packs available for free after backlash over its quality. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 made a rare fumble with the Chapter Voice Pack 1 DLC in late February, prompting this move from publisher Focus Entertainment.

In a statement, Focus Entertainment acknowledged that the Chapter Voice Pack 1 DLC didn’t meet expectations. As a result, all players who purchased the $4.99 stand-alone pack will be refunded, following which the DLC will be available for free to everyone.
This means that those playing Space Marine 2 via the PS Plus Extra catalog will also be able to access the content.
“We are currently setting up the refund with platform owners and will come back soon with more info,” Focus Entertainment added.
The publisher didn’t say whether developer Saber Interactive will make any improvements to the content, but going by this statement, it seems unlikely that the DLC will be re-released, especially now that it’s free.
Here’s what the pack includes:
- 450 re-recorded voicelines
- Unique Space Marine Head cosmetic for each of the following Space Marine Chapters: Blood Angels, Space Wolves, and Black Templars.
