We are officially at the end of the first quarter of 2026. Although it has only been three months, we have had several amazing games grace the PS5 and PS4, all of which are available on the PlayStation Store to purchase. That includes Legacy of Kain: Ascendance, the newest entry in the beloved dark fantasy action-adventure series.
What is Legacy of Kain: Ascendance?
Developed by Bit Bot Media and published by Crystal Dynamics, Legacy of Kain: Ascendance is a 2D action platformer with “fluid combat, vertical movement, vampiric powers, and skill-driven play.” It is a prequel to the fan-favorite title Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, and features the original games’ voice cast reprising their roles. It stars four characters from previous games, including Kain, Raziel in vampire and human form, and Elaleth, who has only appeared in the graphic novels.

Legacy of Kain: Ascendance is available on the PS Store right now. For players who just want the platformer, it will cost $29.99.
