Starfield is coming to the PlayStation 5 this week, and in a new video, Bethesda showed off some of the features PS5 players can expect to check out.
What exclusive features will Starfield have on PS5?
The new video from Bethesda highlights several of the new features coming to the game that will exclusively be on Sony’s console. On the PlayStation 5 Pro, players will be able to cycle through various visual modes, including Pro Visual and Pro Performance modes.
The game will also take advantage of the PS5’s DualSense controller, and have adaptive trigger, light bar, touch pad, and controller speaker functionality. Check out the video below:
Starfield will officially launch on PlayStation 5 on April 7, 2026, alongside what Bethesda is calling the biggest update the game has seen since its launch, in the form of the game’s Free Lanes update.
Last month, Bethesda also revealed the Free Lanes update and upcoming Terran Armada DLC that will make its way to Starfield. The Free Lanes update includes a big update to space travel in the game, including letting players freely travel between planets in any direction. A new resource, X-Tech, will also be added into the game, and allow players to customize their entire set of weapons, gear, and ships even more.
Outposts have also gotten a change in the game, with shared Outpost containers, Outpost pets, and more available. New ship modules, side quests, and more were also added into the game. The Terran Armada DLC, which will cost $9.99, adds a brand new story and companion into the game, with players having to go up against a sinister new invading force.
