PS5 and PS4 players are constantly being treated to some of the best video game releases, and this week is no different. Today, Supergiant Games is finally bringing its critically acclaimed, award-winning sequel, Hades II, to PS5.
What is Hades II?
Developed and published by Supergiant Games, Hades II is the follow-up to the award-winning roguelike action RPG Hades. Originally released on PC and Nintendo Switch 2 last year, the sequel follows Melinoë as she attempts to defeat Chronos, the titan of time.

Hades II is available now for PS5 on the PS Store for $29.99. There is only one edition of the game, so players won’t have to worry about missing out on extra goodies or DLC.
When Hades II was originally released last September, it was met with universal acclaim. According to the review aggregate website Metacritic, it garnered an average score of 95 based on 54 critic reviews. As of this writing, it was in the top 50 best-reviewed games on Metacritic.
Hades II was nominated for several awards last year, including Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2025, Outstanding Achievement in Game Design at the Annual D.I.C.E. Awards, and Best Visual Art at the Game Developers Choice Awards. It even garnered some awards, including Best Action Game at The Game Awards 2025 and Action Game of the Year at the D.I.C.E. Awards.
