PS Plus Essential May 2026 monthly free games have begun rolling out, starting with Japan and Asia, where it’s Tuesday, May 5. There’s some relief for PS4 players this month, as only one of the three games in the lineup is PS5-only.

This month, PS Plus subscribers can claim Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (PS5), EA Sports FC 26 (PS5, PS4), and Nine Sols (PS5, PS4).
Although PS5 players only get one current-gen game in May, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a pleasant surprise. The action RPG, which received positive reviews overall, is less than a year old. And the best part about monthly lineups is that you get to keep all the games in your library forever.
As for the other two games, Nine Sols is an acclaimed 2024 action game that was nominated for several awards. There might be little enthusiasm for EA Sports FC 26, but the annual franchise enjoys immense popularity.
Overall, it’s a pretty solid month for subscribers of the cheapest PS Plus tier.
