A 2025 PS5 sci-fi action game, which turned out to be a surprise hit, is already getting a sequel that you’ll be able to get your hands on soon. Deadzone: Rogue 2 is a follow-up to Prophecy Games’ successful endeavor, which was very well received across all platforms, including the PS5.

What’s even more surprising is that Deadzone: Rogue 2 is almost ready for you to play. Like the original, the sequel is dropping a free demo on the PS Store soon. We’ll get more details in June.
“Fight as Talon 13-10 in this first-person shooter roguelite adventure set on a fallen Earth,” an official overview reads. “Combine weapons, augments, and elements to forge devastating builds and blast through Monarch’s endless machines. Grow stronger each run, solo or with friends.”
In a press release, Prophecy Games revealed that Deadzone: Rogue has been played by 750,000+ players over the past year. The studio promised to retain the “core gunplay that fans love” while offering further improvements, including deeper gameplay systems and more flexibility.

A release date for Deadzone: Rogue 2 has not been announced. Prophecy Games has said that it’ll share the date closer to launch.
