We know what you’re thinking. So, to get it out of the way, Real Cake Maker isn’t AAA material. It leans into the shovelware category, but we’re stopping short of categorizing it as such because the game is surprisingly fun and charming.
If you (or your kids) love relaxing life sims or cooking games, Real Cake Maker isn’t a bad way to spend an afternoon, and you’ll have a shiny Platinum trophy to show for it. It doesn’t take long to pop all the trophies, and they’re all very straightforward.
The catch? Real Cake Maker is one of those games that comes with a ton of paid add-ons. But the good news is, you don’t need any of those to unlock the Platinum trophy. The base game is completely free, so unless you care about your game/trophy completion percentage being under 100%, the add-ons shouldn’t bother you.
