A 2024 PS5 and PS4 RPG has been removed from sale from the PlayStation Store without a warning. In a week where players are reeling from Sony’s decision to end disc production, Star Trek: Legends‘ sudden delisting is sure to add fuel to ongoing debates about a digital-only future.
PS5, PS4 RPG Star Trek: Legends launched just 1.5 years ago
It’s unclear when Star Trek: Legends was delisted. The delisting was first noticed by a PSNProfiles user. Developed by Emerald City Games and published on the PS Store by QubicGames, the title launched just 1.5 years ago in December 2024.
As noted by PSNProfiles user Ryan Industries, this is the fourth Star Trek title to be delisted in less than a year. The only Star Trek game that remains on the PS Store is the decade-old PS4 multiplayer title, Star Trek Online. However, it’s unclear how long Star Trek Online will remain accessible given the recent delistings.
At the time of this writing, Star Trek: Legends is available to purchase on other platforms, but will likely be scrubbed shortly.
“Step into the role of your favorite heroes and villains from across the history of Star Trek and embark on an epic space adventure to control the mysterious Nexus,” an official overview reads. “Battle to save all of existence in Star Trek’s official strategy-based RPG.”
