A promising historical PS5 adventure game was released on the PlayStation Store this morning with a launch discount. Published by Wales Interactive, narrative adventure The Crimson Maid has been on my radar for a month, so I was pleased to see some positive early impressions from PS5 players.

The Crimson Maid tells the story of Marius, who falls for a young maid, Irina. The story features romance, mystery, and murder. Check out a trailer below:
“Step into the shoes of Marius, as he reconnects with his fractured family and becomes captivated by Irina, a beautiful young maid who has already unsettled the household,” the plot reads. “Unravel the secrets of the family’s troubled past and, through your choices, determine Marius’ ultimate fate.”
PS Plus members can avail a 10% discount and purchase The Crimson Maid for $13.49 until July 29. The game’s full price is $14.99.
A free demo is available on the PS Store and doesn’t require a subscription to play.
The Crimson Maid has already earned nearly 4/5 stars on the PS Store based on 60 votes since this morning. It remains to be seen what score it’ll settle for.
