Unique Dinosaur PlayStation 5 Game Announced, Trailer Sets Release Date

An updated version of a unique dinosaur game is coming to the PlayStation 5. The game is out soon, and features a ton of new features.

Atari’s Parkasaurus is our very soon on the PlayStation 5

Washbear Studio’s Parksaurus is getting a new entry, in a way. It comes in the form of Parkasaurus: Dinoluxe Edition, a new collection of the game for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game is set to release on August 5, 2026, over six years since the original game launched on PC back in 2020.

The game will feature both the base game and downloadable content packs “Sea Monsters” and “Prehistoric Wonders,” collecting everything into one new package for players. Much like the name suggests, Parkasaurus tasks players with building their own dinosaur theme park. Hire employees, create awesome exhibits, and most importantly, make sure the dinosaurs don’t escape and cause problems in the park.

With the inclusion of both DLC packs, there’s over 44 total dinosaur breeds, all of which require their own special circumstances to thrive in the park. Players must manage things like ecology, plants, elevation, humidity, and more as they build the perfect park that features everything fans of dinosaurs could want. More features for the game include:

  • Includes Parkasaurus base game, as well as “Sea Monsters” and “Prehistoric Wonders” downloadable content.
  • 44 total dino breeds (24 from the base game, 10 from “Sea Monsters,” and 10 from “Prehistoric Wonders”).
  • 12 distinct biomes to create (nine from the base game and three “Sea Monsters “biomes).
  • Conduct research to unlock additional dinosaur eggs, technologies, items, and upgrades.
  • Monetize your park by charging guests admission, placing donation boxes, adding food stalls, and even charging for the highest-demand dinosaur exhibits.
  • Hire and manage four employee types to make sure your park runs smoothly.
  • Complete 15 Missions in different areas (12 missions from the base game and three “Sea Monsters” missions).
