A long-forgotten 2019 RPG is getting a surprise PS5 remake, and it’ll be out sooner than you think. Dungeon of Dragon Knight Remake released on PC seven years ago and wasn’t exactly a commercial success. But its dev still wants to bring the classic dungeon crawler to modern platforms.
Obscure 2019 RPG Dungeon of Dragon Knight brought to PS5 by a solo dev
Dungeon of Dragon Knight was originally developed and published by HexGameStudio. Its remake has been developed by a solo dev, Hector Xiang, who admits that the game didn’t sell “explosively” back in 2019.
However, Xiang reckons that Dungeon of Dragon Knight deserves a second chance. The game will be available on the PS Store on Monday, August 10, 2026. Yes, that’s next week. What’s more, there will be a 20% launch discount. It’s unclear if this discount is for all PS5 players or only PS Plus members, but we’ll find out in due course.
