Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Trailer Reveals Multiplayer Gameplay Before PlayStation Early Access Beta Begins

New Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 trailer teases action-packed multiplayer gameplay. This comes ahead of the PlayStation early access beta. The upcoming game, developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision, will be the fourth main installment in the rebooted Modern Warfare franchise, which began in 2019.

The latest Modern Warfare 4 trailer, featuring The Devil Is a Lie by Rick Ross, showcases what fans can expect from the upcoming Early Access beta on PlayStation 5. Running from August 21 to 25, 2026, it will be available for players who pre-order the game digitally on PS5. Later, it will open to all players on all supported platforms starting August 28.

The beta will offer all 12 new 6v6 multiplayer maps, alongside the adaptive multiplayer map, Kill Block. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 early access beta will also introduce a playable single-player campaign mission, Entrenched.

What can players expect from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will feature a traditional single-player campaign, taking the story forward from 2023’s Modern Warfare 3. Key characters include Captain Price, Ghost, Valeria Garza, and more. The campaign’s main protagonist will be Private Park, a South Korean soldier.

Modern Warfare 4’s campaign missions will take place across various locations, including New York, South Korea, Paris, and Mumbai.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s multiplayer experience will launch with 12 core maps, with more planned for future seasonal updates.

The addition of Kill Block makes the multiplayer unique this time. It’s an adaptive live-fire environment where modular battlegrounds reconfigure before every match. Players will get to witness hundreds of unique combat configurations on this one map.

Additionally, the DMZ mode from 2022’s Modern Warfare 2 is also returning in its full-fledged form. Previously released in beta, the extraction experience will offer adaptive conditions for players who can either deploy solo or in squads to complete various tasks, engage in tough combat scenarios, loot exclusive rewards, and complete an extraction.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will launch on October 23, 2026, for multiple platforms including PlayStation 5.
