An intriguing game is about to hit PlayStation 5 sooner than expected. This adventure game will also be available on the Xbox Series. PC gamers can purchase the game on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Sandbox’s survival game, Honeycomb: The World Beyond, will officially launch on September 8, 2026. The game is developed by Frozen Way Studio and published by Snail.
As per Gematsu, a representative of Frozen Way said, “Honeycomb: The World Beyond is our realization of the dream of intergalactic adventuring, landing on a strange new planet and having to figure out how it functions on an organic level. We wanted to capture both the awesome wonder of a strange, new world, as well as the creative freedom that comes from taming it your own way.”
According to the press release, the studio has partnered with NVIDIA to integrate advanced features like NVIDIA RTXDI, NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 with Ray Reconstruction, Multi Frame Generation and Reflex to provide players with an immersive gaming experience.

Honeycomb: The World Beyond lets players play as a bioengineer named Hennessy, the main protagonist. Hennessy forges an expedition on a mysterious exoplanet called Sota7. This planet contains calm forests, vibrant jungles, vast fields, and a mysterious volcano that players must explore to uncover secrets.
The gameplay requires the player to gather information, analyze samples, and procure resources carefully to find familiar patterns and understand the exoplanet. It also allows players to create new and fascinating life forms that can harmonize in the alien environment.
Honeycomb: The World Beyond comes with many key features. These features come to players as tasks where they must explore, study, and also build a perfect base for their research on Sota7.
There are also hidden riches within the world, and players are encouraged to find better resources for their laboratories. Lastly, the game consists of challenges and threats that require the player to survive at any cost.
