A popular PlayStation 5 game is set to receive a free multiplayer update featuring zombies, Battle Royale, and more. Developed by Tuxedo Labs, the title was originally released as a single-player experience four years ago.
The sandbox game Teardown will receive its multiplayer update on PS5 on September 15, 2026. After being available on PC, the multiplayer mode will make its way to consoles.
Since its launch on PS5, the game has received mostly positive reviews from players. This is reflected in its Metascore of 78 out of 100 on Metacritic.
A newly released trailer has teased what the players can expect from the long-awaited multiplayer update in Teardown.
Mod Pack 6 expands Teardown multiplayer with Prop Hunt, Battle Royale & more
Teardown’s free multiplayer update will support up to 12 players and add co-op campaign play, alongside Mod Pack 6 with 30 multiplayer-compatible mods, including Prop Hunt and Battle Royale.
According to the official description, the update will give players a great opportunity to “heist together in the original base game’s campaign in co-op and go head-to-head in hundreds of dev- and community-made multiplayer game modes. Plus, Mod Pack 6 will drop on the same day, bringing 30 brand-new multiplayer-compatible mods to console players for even more Teardown fun!”
Teardown’s multiplayer will feature popular modes such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag. Also, players can get creative, or destructive, together in Sandbox Mode. Additionally, the game will receive two new dual-sided arenas and an expansive library of community-made maps.
Besides core modes, players will also get Mod Pack 6. It will introduce 30 multiplayer-specific mods on PS5, including Prop Hunt, Battle Royale, a zombie survival co-op, and much more. Some previous Mod Packs will also receive updates, thus enabling players to enjoy their favorite mods with friends.
