Zombies in Spaceland Double XP Weekend Happening, Modern Warfare Gets New Patch

It’s been a busy week for Call of Duty fans as both Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered are now available. As such, both games have been grabbing some headlines and are generating news. So, it’s time to get all caught up before the weekend begins.

First off, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare‘s Zombies in Spaceland mode is having a double XP weekend to celebrate Veteran’s Day. It’s already available now, so players can hop on and start racking up that valuable experience. Infinity Ward did go to Twitter to specify how it works though. They said that it “doesn’t work in solo party or custom match, so party up with the public to grind on those levels!” The double XP weekend will end at 10am on Monday, November 14.

Infinity Ward also put out a nice piece of artwork to promote the weekend. Check it out below:

While the shininess of Infinite Warfare is awfully tempting to play this weekend, Modern Warfare Remastered just got a new patch. Rave Software’s lead designer Amos Hodge detailed the latest patch on Twitter. It contains two fixes as “the emblem and calling card menus will now indicate when a challenge level is locked” and “players will correctly earn a match bonus in [Search and Destroy].”

That’s not the only Modern Warfare Remastered news, though. YouTube user SamuelTDope went through the files of the PC version and found a full functioning version of the FN FAL assault rifle in the game. That weapon was never in the original Modern Warfare, but was very popular in Modern Warfare 2. The video is no longer available, as Activision has been issuing copyright strikes on anyone who posts footage of it. Speculation has pointed to it being possible DLC, but it could also just be left over by accident. Only time will tell.

Will you be playing either Call of Duty title this weekend? Let us know in the comments if so!
