The PS Store is issuing refunds to some Crimson Desert PS5 players following the game’s lackluster launch. Sony isn’t known for its generosity when it comes to refunding players, and Crimson Desert isn’t quite on the same level as the Cyberpunk 2077 launch fiasco. However, it’s bad enough for the company to make exceptions.
Why PS5 players are applying for Crimson Desert PS Store refunds
We’ve seen dozens of reports over the weekend of PS5 players successfully getting their money back. The most common complaints are centered on Crimson Desert’s performance on the console.
Even PS5 Pro players seem unhappy with Crimson Desert’s performance. A popular thread on the PS5 Pro subreddit includes comments from quite a few players who got a refund after speaking to Sony’s support agents.
Interestingly, the Reddit thread above also has dozens of comments stating that Crimson Desert looks and runs fine on the PS5 and PS5 Pro, with users arguing that those obtaining refunds are overreacting.
As for how players are getting refunds, it looks like speaking to PlayStation Support is doing the trick for many. However, those who haven’t yet downloaded Crimson Desert should first apply for a refund via their PS Store transactions.
