Underrated PS4 Remake’s PS5 Port Gets Positive Reviews

An underrated remake of a PS4 game is officially out now on PS5 and getting strong reviews following its release.

What PS5 Port has gotten good reviews?

New Super Lucky’s Tale, the enhanced version of the original PS4 game, is officially out now. The new version of the game features an updated look, smoother performance, and DualSense features that make the game’s platforming sections feel even better than before.

The new version of the game features performance upgrades of up to 120 FPS, as well as 4K support. The original game released in 2019 and was itself an enhanced remake of the 2017 Super Lucky’s Tale, which was a sequel to the 2016 VR platforming game Lucky’s Tale released as a launch title for the Oculus Rift. The game features the character Lucky, who travels around different worlds within an ancient book.

The new version of the game has gotten strong reviews. PlayStation Lifestyle’s Tyler Treese‘s 8 out of 10 review noted the game “never gets boring and doesn’t get repetitive either. It’s a lean game, totalling around seven hours long, and only a few additional hours are needed for cleanup if you’re going for the Platinum. This is one of the game’s biggest strengths, as the variety and always-solid platforming make it a fun game that you can finish in just a handful of sessions.”

Niche Gamer’s Fingal Belmont also scored the game an 8.5 out of 10 and said “it would’ve been easy to overload the game with unlockables and flashy set pieces, as even smaller indie teams often do, but instead they showed real restraint, focusing on the core elements and making each one shine. The skill ceiling for high-level play isn’t very high, and Lucky himself is kind of bland, but the sincerity of both the character and the gameplay shines through and kept me engaged.”

PSX Brasil scored the game an 85, and Couple of Gamer gave it an 8 out of 10 score.
