Sony will announce PS Plus Essential April 2026 monthly free games soon, and at least two of the games have already leaked. It’s shaping up to be a great month for RPG fans, but only those with a PS5, it seems.

Last week, reliable leaker billbil-kun claimed that 2023’s Lords of the Fallen will be one of the incoming free games. Today, the insider has revealed another April free game: Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream.
SAO: Fractured Daydream is a current-gen RPG released in 2024 by Bandai Namco Entertainment. With two of the leaked games being PS5-only titles, we wonder if there’s anything in store for PS4 players in April.
But before we sign off, there is a potential third game leak that we’re not too sure about because: a. It seems to be a PS Store glitch rather than a leak. b. It seems too good to be true and doesn’t come from a reliable source like billbil-kun.
A PS Plus user claims to have seen a PS Plus Essential tag next to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on the PS Store, a screenshot of which they shared on Reddit.
The reason we don’t think this is legit is that it’s almost unheard of for Sony to offer a Premium Deluxe edition of a game for free, and that too of a game that’s Flight Simulator’s caliber. So, don’t get your hopes up for this one.
The full list of PS Plus Essential April games will be revealed on Wednesday, April 1, with the games going live the following Tuesday.
