A 2017 PS4, PS Vita action game has made a surprise return to the PS Store after being delisted in 2024. 88 Heroes is a fun 2D action platformer that received a rare PS Vita physical copy courtesy of East Asia Soft. While it was available to purchase on other digital stores, its PS Store listing was removed.
Action game 88 Heroes was delisted from PS Store in 2024, possibly due to publisher change
As brought to our attention by PSNProfiles user GravityQueen, 88 Heroes recently returned to the PS Store. It appears that the delisting was due to a change in publishers.
88 Heroes’ PS4 disc and other digital store listings mention Rising Star Games as the publisher. However, the PS Store version is published by Reef Entertainment.
In 88 Heroes, players are tasked with scaling a building to prevent an evil doctor from wiping out the planet.
“It’s 8:08 am on 8th August 1988, and the evil Dr. H8 has brought the world to the brink of total annihilation,” an overview reads. “His demands are simple: pay $88 octillion within 88 minutes, or Dr. H8’s 88 thermo-nuclear warheads will wipe out the Earth!”
88 Heroes currently costs $29.99 on the PS Store.
