An acclaimed 2025 remaster of a fan-favorite 2008 action adventure game is half price on the PS Store in a limited-time deal. Koei Tecmo’s Ninja Gaiden 2 Black is the former Xbox console exclusive’s second outing in 17 years, and we highly recommend it.

PS5 players can buy Ninja Gaiden 2 Black for just $24.99 until August 13, following which the price will revert to $49.99. The remaster is PS5 Pro enhanced, and offers cloud streaming to PS Plus Premium users.
“Take on the role of Ryu Hayabusa, a ninja who has inherited the legendary Dragon Sword and takes on battles across the world,” an official overview reads. “Players can enjoy high-speed, violent action using a wide variety of weapons and techniques, including Japanese swords, shurikens, Kusari-gamas, and tonfas.”
The remaster has been completely redesigned and includes additional elements from the original Ninja Gaiden 2’s spinoffs. Players can control three additional characters: Momiji, Ayane, and Rachel.
For beginners, Koei Tecmo has added a “hero play style” mode to help players through challenging moments.
Ninja Gaiden 2 Black earned a Metacritic score of 80/100 on the PS5. On the PS Store, it boasts 4.53/5 Stars based on nearly 8,000 votes.
