Metal Gear Solid HD Collection: Now with More Metal Gear!

I feel like one of those TV infomercial guys right now (when you read this, picture the voice of the deceased Billy Mays – R.I.P.). The upcoming Metal Gear Solid HD Collection features Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of the Patriots, MGS3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear: Peace Walker. All for the low cost of $59.99. But wait, there’s more!

That’s right folks, not only do you get the PSP’s Peace Walker and the two PlayStation 2 Metal Gear Solids, but you also get Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2. This is because the version of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater included in the HD collection is the Subsistence version of the game, which includes the MSX Metal Gear titles.

In Japan, the collection will also include a voucher to download the PSOne Classic version of Metal Gear Solid. Unfortunately, Western markets won’t have the voucher included, but all territories will have the MSX Metal Gear games.

If you check on Ebay, the Subsistence version of MGS3 is selling for a fortune, as its extremely rare. The upcoming collection is going to be one of the only ways to experience the extras that version included, without breaking the bank.

So, does this make the collection even more appealing? Will you be picking up the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection when it releases?
